How to Obtain Photographic Reproductions

Reproductions of materials from this collection are available from the Chicago Historical Society (CHS). Requests should include the title or caption of the item and the item number that is listed on a bibliographic display under the label Reproduction Number.

Reproductions will be provided to users under license agreement for purposes as indicated in writing by the user and agreed upon by CHS. Conditions governing their use are specified on a contractual "Letter Agreement" generated by the Historical Society, which must be signed both by the user and a representative of the CHS. Please send a written request to:

Chicago Historical Society
Rights and Reproductions Office
Clark St. at North Avenue

Fax:   (312) 266.2076
E-mail:   rightsrepro@chicagohistory.org

Most reproduction services require 20 working days for processing after receipt of payment and the signed "Letter Agreement" by the Chicago Historical Society. Costs for reproduction of materials from the Society's collection are the sum of two fees: use fee and production fee. The Chicago Historical Society reserves the right to require special fees for some forms of commercial uses. Please review the schedules for Photographic Reproduction Fees at CHS for details and procedures.
