Rewriting Closed Questions

DIRECTIONS:  Each of the following is an example of a closed question. (A closed question is one that elicits a one or two word answer.) For interview purposes, you really want to develop open questions or those that encourage the person to elaborate on a response. For each of the following, re-work it into an open question. PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION!

1.  Do you think you know anything about interviewing?

2. Were you nervous about interviewing a faculty member?

3. Have you learned anything about Uni High so far by doing this project?

4. Would you need to prepare for doing an interview?

5. Is there a difference between hearing a family story and interviewing a faculty member?
