Senate Executive Journal --TUESDAY, December 29, 1835.
Mr. Davis, from the Committee on Commerce, to whom were referred the messages of the 22d instant nominating custom house officers for reappointment, reported.
Whereupon
Resolved, That the Senate do advise and consent to the appointment of Joel M. Smith, John Smith, Nathaniel Bullock, John Dangerfield, jr., James R. Pringle, Charles C. P. Hunt, Ogden D. Longstaff, James Dell, William Gresham, Francis Armistead, John Haywood, and John Shellman, agreeably to their respective nominations.
Mr. Ewing, from the Committee on Public Lairds, to whom was referred the nomination of Ethan A. Brown, reported.
Whereupon
Resolved, That the Senate do advise and consent to the appointment of Ethan A. Brown, agreeably to the nomination.
Mr. Ewing, from the Committee on Public Lands, to whom were referred the messages of the 22d December nominating John Spencer and others, and James Evans and others, reported on all the nominations therein contained except the nomination of John P. Helfenstein.
Whereupon
Resolved, That the Senate do advise and consent to the appointment of John Spencer, John Henry Owen, James Evans, Isaac Folsom, Samuel M. Rutherford, John J. Coleman, James McGoffin, Robert J. Hackley, John James Taylor, Anthony W. Rabb, Ralph Guild, Aaron W. Lyon, Davis Thompson, John L. Daniel, Levi W. Lawler, and Stephen K. Rowan, agreeably to their respective nominations.
