Mr. Chandler, from the Committee on Commerce, to whom was referred, this day, the nomination of Seth J. Comly, reported favorably thereon.

On motion by Mr. Chandler,

The Senate proceeded, by unanimous consent, to consider the said nomination; and

Resolved, That the Senate advise and consent to the appointment of Seth J. Comly, agreeably to the nomination.

Mr. Spencer, from the Committee on Commerce, to whom was referred, the 21st instant, the nomination of James Atkins, reported favorably thereon.

On motion by Mr. Spencer,

The Senate proceeded, by unanimous consent, to consider the said nomination; and

Resolved, That the Senate advise and consent to the appointment of James Atkins, agreeably to the nomination.

Mr. Ferry, of Michigan, from the Committee on Post-Offices and Post-Roads, to whom was referred, the 6th instant, the nomination of Henry A. Bruner, reported favorably thereon.

Whereupon,

Resolved, That the Senate advise and consent to the appointment of Henry A. Bruner, agreeably to the nomination.

On motion by Mr. Sherman,

The Senate proceeded, by unanimous consent, to consider the nomination of Benjamin F. Thomas; and

Resolved, That the Senate advise and consent to his appointment, agreeably to the nomination.

Mr. Gilbert from the Committee on Post-Offices and Post-Roads, to whom was referred, this day, the nomination of Edward M. Cheney, reported favorably thereon.

On motion by Mr. Gilbert,

The Senate proceeded, by unanimous consent, to consider the said nomination; and
