Chancellor's medal poem recited by the author, Frederic William Henry Myers (1843-1901), MA Trinity College, at the Cambridge Commencement on May 21, 1861. He was a poet and spiritualist and became one of HM Inspectors of Schools 1872-1900. He was a founder member of the Society for Psychical Research in 1882, as was Dodgson.
