NOTES
Fitzroy James Henry Somerset (1788-1855), Lord Raglan, commander of the British Army during the Crimean War, issued a number of weather almanacs, and magazines such as Punch made great fun of them. Lord Raglan died on June 28, 1855, during the siege of Sebastopol. David Walkinshaw is not identified.
