Rossetti, Christina G.

CREATED/PUBLISHED
London, England: Shilling Magazine, June 28, 1865

NOTES
Dodgson admired the poetry of Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830-1894). He met her in 1863 when he photographed the Rossetti family at their London home. He remained in touch with Christina for the rest of her life, corresponding with her, sending her inscribed copies of his work, and visiting her in London. Her poem, Amor Mundi, written on February 21, 1865, is about lost love, a theme of interest to Dodgson.
