Syllabus of Plane Algebraical Geometry [Review]
CREATED/PUBLISHED
Athenaeum, December 1, 1860
NOTES
Dodgson published A Syllabus of Plane Algebraical Geometry in 1860 for the undergraduates at Oxford. In it, he systematically arranged the Euclidean syllabus with formal definitions, postulates and axioms, to assist the reader in learning Pure Geometry. See Lewis Carroll Handbook, p. 18. The reviewer praised the book but indicated that it was short of "worked examples."
