Toad-eater.

CREATED/PUBLISHED
December 3, 1856

NOTES
The article discussed Whately's edition of Bacon's essays, and a digression on the meaning of the word "toad-eater." The writer disagreed with the definitions given, and quoted from Notes and Queries for his solution. Dodgson had a fascination in etymology, which may explain his preservation of this clipping.
