Summary: Carol Paukner was assigned to a station one block from the World Trade Center when she received a call about "unknown conditions." She looked up and saw a plane sticking out of the north tower. She began evacuating the south tower. She describes the scene, her encounter with firefighters entering the building, efforts to assist victims, and the aftermath. She also gives her thoughts on how the tragedy has affected people.
