Interview with Sydney and Sarah Carroll at their home in Pequannock, New Jersey. They are the parents of "Working in Paterson" fieldworker Tom Carroll.
Summary of audio segment: When he worked at dye houses, Sydney and his co-workers often heated up their lunches (contained in glass jars) by lowering into the hot water of dye vats. He heated up spaghetti, soup and stew this way.
