Interview with Sydney and Sarah Carroll at their home in Pequannock, New Jersey. They are the parents of "Working in Paterson" fieldworker Tom Carroll.
Summary of audio segment: Sarah thinks the first hot Texas wieners were served in Paterson in 1938 or '39. Sarah tells story about her sister taking her to a wiener place that opened around that time. Sydney and Sarah used to go for hot dogs at a place called Waterfalls Inn, in Garfield, when they were courting. Sydney and Sarah prefer their hot dogs "all-the-way," which means theyre served with onions, chili sauce, mustard. Sydney likes to drink coffee or diet soda with his hot dogs.
