[The role of the funeral director in a community.]
Author/Creator
Interviewer: Levitas, Susan, 1961-
Created/Published
August 17, 1994
Notes
Interview with Carnie Bragg, owner, Bragg Funeral Home.
Summary of audio segment: "It's traditional in the black community that usually the funeral director is one of the leaders of the community. I've been blessed, again, by going to Fiske University where it was just understood, if you went back into the community, you were going to be a leader trying to help other people. And that was another blessing that I've had. You will notice that I never say 'luck.' I say 'blessed' or 'fortunate. I never say luck."
