Notes
Interview with John Granata, owner, Granata Financial Service.
Summary of audio segment: Some talk about Sal Tumino, who is Sicilian. Why is it hard to get a place on 21st Avenue? JG says 21st Avenue is still considered to be the heart of Paterson. Come here and find a piece of everything -- a piece of Italy, Columbia, Mexico. People come from all over -- Paterson, Clifton, Passaic, even Elizabeth, into this area, because they can find their local product. So a merchant opening a business will look on 21st Avenue first, and maybe Union Avenue as a second choice. 21st Avenue always the first choice. Can come to 21st Avenue from any major highway -- very easy to get here.
