Forms part of a group of images documenting various exterior locations along 21st Avenue.
Rocco is from Montescaglioso in the Basilicata region of Italy. He purchased the shop from the previous owner, who also operated it as a small produce and grocery store carrying mainly products for the Italian American community (dried pasta, olive oil, dried and canned beans, as well as fresh produce). During August, Rocco stocked two varieties of fresh figs, which he purchased at the Railway Avenue markets in Paterson.
