Copy imperfect: Brittle, stained, darkened, missing pieces along edges, sheet glued to lower left corner that shows southward extension of Texas coast, cut into 3 sections, backed by cloth.

Copy annotated with numbers in red and dashes in blue to indicate "limits of freshwater in the rivers" as derived from compilation of communications of U.S. Coast Survey in June 1861.
