Summary: Photograph of two women in hats and coats holding up a banner, Berthe Moller (Left) and Bertha Arnold ( R), standing in front of NWP headquarters. Banner reads: "We protest against the thirty-four willful senators who have delayed the political freedom of American women. They have obstructed the war program of the president. They have lined up the Senate with Prussia by their denial of self government to the people."

Berthe Arnold, of Colorado Springs, Colo., kindergarten teacher, arrested Jan. 1919, watchfire demonstration, sentenced to 5 days in District Jail. Mrs. Bertha Moller of Minneapolis, Minn., campaigned for state suffrage before joining the NWP. She was interested in industrial problems. Of Swedish descent, she had two uncles that were members of the Swedish parliament. She served two jail sentences; one of 24 hours for applauding suffragists in court, and another of five days for participation in watchfire demonstration in January 1919.
