SUMMARY
Miller, a Howard University faculty member, says the task facing African Americans is to acquire the attributes of a higher, civilized race via education, mastery of the material side of life, and cultivation of methods of creating wealth and character. Blacks need to develop themselves and to stand on their own feet intellectually, morally, and materially.
