Notes
Les Stewart gives his views on the future of the 96 Ranch. Recorded in a barn on the 96 Ranch.
In this video, Les asserts that he is an old-time cowman who will leave any changes to his son. He explains that he plans to sell part of his holdings, especially the right to graze on public lands. His strong feelings remained two years after he sold his gazing rights. In 1984, Les wrote, "Use of the public lands has very little future for the person who doesn't want to be regimented and reduced to the status of tenant of the Federal Government." (Personal communication.)
