Unmistakable Voice in Europe, An.

CREATED/PUBLISHED
London, England: Punch, XXVIII, p. 91, March 15, 1855

NOTES
The Punch correspondent sent a note headed "Berlin, March 2, 1855" which began, "I dined with the King yesterday--" The report included a supposed response from Frederick William, King of Prussia, in which he had some difficulty in replying in English (mainly because he was drunk). Why Dodgson should be interested in this item is unclear; maybe the mock drunken tone appealed to him.
