Search Tips
Search by "Show Title"
The most common search will be to find the recordings for a given show. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:
- Enter the title of the show in the Search by Keyword box. (To ensure an exact match, put quotes around it.) Press GO or select ENTER. To view a show listing, click on the appropriate link on the search results list.
Examples:
"The Music Man"
"The King and I" - Alternatively, the user may select the Show Title link (under Browse) and browse an alphabetical listing of show titles.
For any given show, there may be more than one listing. For example, The Music Man has listings for Orig prod (original production), 1962 film soundtrack, and so on. The listings will contain information about the show (composer, cast, conductor, etc.) and information about the recordings (normally the record label name and issue number). Recordings of songs that come from other albums are identified by a link (e.g., ALB-830). Click on the link for information about the album.
