- "Impressionistic Guitar" teaches certain guitar playing techniques which are demonstrated through the use of compositions for guitar that were chosen with a view, not only to imparting the techniques, but also to inspiring the player's creative imagination, and opening up new potential avenues of exploration. The exhibited techniques typically make use of, among other things, fingerpicking, higher-voiced chord positions, open strings, and the playing of higher notes on lower strings.
