- Summary
- Composed in 1913 to a scenario for a Children's Ballet by André Hallé, the music existed only in a piano score and 93 measures of orchestration upon Debussy's death in 1918. His former student and faithful interpreter Andre Caplet completed the orchestration the next year for the long delayed performance at Paris' Theatre-Lyrique de Vaudeville on December 10, 1919. This new, convenient format study score is a digitally enhanced reprint of the one issued by Durand et Cie. in 1920. As with all Petrucci Library Press scores, a percentage of each sale is contributed to support the award-winning free wiki for music scores and recordings, IMSLP/Petrucci Music Library.
