- "Night on Bald Mountain" - Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's arrangement of his friend Mussorgsky's work - became very popular through its use in the 1939 Walt Disney film "Fantasia." The present urtext study score is of the composer's original 1867 version, entitled "St. John's Night on the Bare Mountain", and includes substantial material that Rimsky-Korsakov cut out in preparing "Night on Bald Mountain" after Mussorgsky's death. Unlike so many of the on-demand scores now available, this one comes with all the pages and the images have been thoroughly checked to make sure it is readable.
