- Summary
- This is an understated, not-too-difficult, straight ahead twenty-four bar blues tune that can be taken from medium-up to as fast as you and your band can play it (but no faster!). The head is presented by alto, tenor, trumpet and trombone and each of them, and/or others, can get in on the solo space. The key is G minor and the changes are not complex, allowing players with intermediate skills to handle it. The shout chorus is in G with a modulation to A (which optionally can be cut) for the second time around. The optional cut avoids the modulation and the slightly higher ranges in the second chorus. Sounds harder than it is. Grade 3+. Medium-up/up Swing. Key G minor (G minor, G major, opt. A major). Trumpet to written G (opt. A).
