- Summary
- An exciting and energetic 64-bar form Latin tune that opens with soprano sax (or clarinet!)and features unison trumpets on the bridge. The 16-bar solo space is for soprano sax and/or trumpet and follows some very playable changes, loosely based on the head. Then comes some mostly full-band excitement leading to a key change and even more excitement, finally dissipating back to the melodic material of the B section. But wait, it's not over yet--one more big crescendo into a strong declaration that the ending is really coming, punctuated by a closing unison line that everyone plays! Thunderous applause! Grade 4. Samba/Baion. Key of F. Trumpet to written B natural (optional C).
