- Summary
- The Flight of the Bumble-Bee is an orchestral interlude for the Opera “The Tale of Tsar Saltan.” It depicts musically the fast and tangled flight of the Bumble-bee. It has become an iconic piece of music of the orchestral repertory, and it has been vastly arranged for ensembles or soloists. This piece requires a great technical command for its wide range, and the fast chromatic-scale passages.
