- Festivities' title is about celebrating new beginnings in life as new chapters unfold. Composed in early 2013, this is the first time I had intentionally attempted to blend elements of minimalism into a composition. While not a true minimalist work, repeated ostinatos are heard throughout the entire piece. There are only themes in the work, which are melodic palindromes of each other.
