- Summary
- "Overcast" is a three-movement work for solo trombone (or euphonium) and piano. The work is inspired by the brief period of my life when I lived abroad in England. As many people are aware, it rains constantly in Great Britain, thus making it an easy inspiration for music. Even though I consider the music to be somewhat melancholic, it is meant to also reflect the warmth and comfort I felt while living in the country where I met so many wonderful people. Other inspiration for the work came from Ralph Vaughan William's "Pastoral Symphony."
