- "Tranquil Night Variations" was originally a collection of material for a short film I collaborated on. Very few of the variations made it into the film. The film's story is about a young man who struggles to accept his difficult fate. As a result, the music goes through several emotions.Originally for horn and strings, this score has replaced the horn with the alto flute. The reason is that the high range of the original horn part required an advanced proficiency from the musician, making it much more difficult to perform the work. However, the original horn part has been included as an optional part if that is preferred over the alto flute.Level: grade 3 - 3.5 Duration: About 8 minutes --
