- "Clarity" was composed in 2007 as the last movement for my first symphony. Also known as the third movement "Finale," the work was later revised in 2011. Like many of my compositions, it was not intentionally written to a specific form.My first symphony as a whole was loosely based on my dissatisfaction with the modern world's obsession with consumerism and the distractions of technology. A difficult idea to depict through music, the third movement was about breaking free from the norm and finding clarity through the reconnecting with the sources in life. Level: grade 4 1/2 Duration: About 7 minutes.
