- Summary
- Composed in April 2019, The Woolly Mammoth March was inspired by the long extinct giant creatures that once roamed this earth. Starting with a brass fanfare, much of the music is heavy, demonstrating the size and weight of the mammoths. Later, a contrasting softer section shows the more gentle side of this mammal. The work closes with thunderous stomping.
