- Everywhere I look around me in public, the majority of people are starring down at their phones rather than enjoying the world around them. While I recognize technology is here to stay, this work serves as a reminder that we should not live our life entirely behind screens. Using a pre-recorded audio file, DISCONNECT begins with all electronic sounds with the musicians being distracted by their phones. Through repeated motives, the work gradually transitions from electronics until all that remains is the wind band. --
