- Through 30 June 1923, 52 performances; reopens 30 July 1923 at the Astor Theatre through 25 August 1923 after additional 31 performances. musical Comedy in two Acts. When Bert Williams dies while in rehearsal for this show, James Barton steps in and, appearing in blackface, literally stops the show ten separate times with his dancing scenes, one of which includes his famous drunk act. Barton featured in such scenes as "Porter! Porter!" "The Struttinest Strutter" "Travesy" and "You Can't Experiment With Me."

Action takes place at a hotel on the shore of a Southern California Seaside Resort.
"Dew Drop Inn" with Friml interpolations, was praised largely for James Barton's clowning. A tenuous plot revolved around a young heir's determination to make good on his own, and on his fiancee's refusal to leave him for a bribe of $20,000. (Norton 1923.13). - Source
