- Abstract
- A musical revue in two acts, 25 scenes. Music by Sammy Fain. Lyrics by Jack Yellen. Conceived and staged by George White. Dances by George White. Opened 28 August 1939 at the Alvin Theatre, moved November 6, 1939 to the Hollywood Theatre, and closed 9 December 1939 after 120 performances.
Cast headed by among others Ann Miller and the George White Girls (31).
Ann Miller capably filled the shoes once worn by Ann Pennington. The "Mexiconga" number was filled with swirling senoritas led by Ann Miller (with E. Logan, the Kim Loo Sisters and the Girls) dancing against a flamboyant south-of-the-border setting.
Miller also featured in (Act 2 Scene 3) "Tap Specialty." - Source
