The second By Word of Foot tap festival organized by Jane Goldberg. A two-day event included tap classes, panel discussions, and a concluding tap performance/jam.
Teachers included Leon Collins, Honi Coles, Mable Lee, and Charlies "Cookie" Cook from the By Word of Foot tap festival in 1980, plus Steve Condos, and Dianne Walker. Two panels: Comedy and Tap and "But Can She Tap?" focusing on women in tap dance; and a concluding jam/performance. 250 participants.
Videotaped at New York University, New York, on December 3 and 4, 1982. Master tap class with Steve Condos who not only teaches but shares his philosophy of dancing.
Gip Gibson awarded the Changing Times Tap Dance trophy.
