- 1 videocassette, 30 mins. 1/2 inch (VHS). Northampton, MA: Images, 1984 c. 1990. Videotaped at the Instructional Media Center of the University of California, Riverside, California in 1984. Produced and directed by Sharon Arslanian. Interviewer and pianist, Paul Arslanian. Interviewee, Eddie Brown, who discusses his special style of rhythm tap, which he calls "scientific rhythm." He looks back upon his dance career, beginning with his training as a flash-dancer and subsequent transition to rhythm tap, and reminisces about the tap dancers with whom he performed. The interview is interspersed with dancing by Brown, including his interpretation of the rhythms of the Highland fling; demonstrations of flash-dancing, soft shoes, and the waltz clog; and dance improvisations to the jazz pieces "Just Friends" "Indiana" and "Mellow Tone."
