- The Hoofers Club, also called the New York Hoofers and the Original Hoofers, were a tap dancing club founded in 1966. The original members included Chuck Green, Lon Chaney, George Hillman, and Jimmy Slyde. Though there was longtime rivalry between the Copasetics and the Hoofers, James Buster Brown was a member of both clubs. Later Bernard Manners was made a member.
Original Hoofers included Ralph Brown, Raymond Kallund, Buster Brown, Lon Chaney, Chuck Green and Jimmy Slyde.
