- October 2, 1937 possible alternate opening. Through March 1938. The Third edition of the Cotton Club Parade at the downtown Cotton Club with Cab Calloway and His Famous Orchestra and Arthur Davy's Orchestra, Avis Andres, Tip, Tap & Toe, Mae Johnson, Tramp Band, The Chocolateers (Paul Black and Al Gip Gipson), James Skelton, Freddy James, Will Vodery's Jubileers, Shorty Snowden & Lindy Hoppers, Engagi, Princess Orelia, Pete and his Cuban Congo Dancers, and Tondelaya.
The musical numbers included tap dancer Freddie James dancing "Rhythm Rascal"; Harold Nicholas with Cab Calloway and the Cotton Club Girls singing and dancing "Tall, Tan, and Terrific"; the Chocolateer performing "Clowns in Color"; the Nicholas Brothers performing "Plenty of Class" and "Bill Robinson Walk" (a number staged by Robinson and including the Cotton Club Chorus girls); Harold Nicholas and Cab Calloway and company singing and dancing "Harlem Bolero"; Tip, Tap & Toe performing "Symphony in Dance"; and "Parade of the Chocolate Dolls" with James Skelton, the Cotton Club boys and the entire company. - Source
