June 23-29, 2003. The Sixth Annual Portsmouth Percussive Dance Festival. Founded by Drika Overton. With artists Brenda Bufalino, Josh Hilberman, Dean Diggins, Bob Thomas, Marilyn Middleton-Sylla and Sekou Sylla, Sharon Arslanian, Paul Arslanian, Bill Irwin, Fayard Nicholas. This year, the Dance Festival celebrated vaudeville in the culmination of a project begun in 1999. Workshops, classes and gala concert at the historic Music Hall, and "Jammin' at the Park" student showcase at the Prescott Park Arts Festival.
