Circa 1999, Sunday evenings 6-10 pm Weekly Tap Jam in New York City hosted by James "Buster" Brown. Tap Extravaganza announces Sunday evening Tap Jam Sessions hosted by James Buster Brown at Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club (346 West 46th Street, New York City) with music provided by the Swing 46 Tap Jam Trio; all tappers welcome to join in this world-class dance party. In 2002, after Buster Brown's death, Swing 46 continues to celebrate the life of the legend. By 2003, Jimmy Slyde began hosting some evenings. Roxanne Butterfly, Harold Cromer, Baakari Wilder, Tamango, also host. Said Meghan Haungs, "Swing 46 was tap heaven: Buster looked at everyone as a tap dancer, anything you did he loved."
