- Article in California Eagle reports that Cook and Brown perform, along with Berry brothers dozens of African American musical artists including Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, in a USO Spot Camp Shows, War department broadcasts, War Department transcriptions for the men overseas and personal appearance for the Treasury Department. A total of 61 Negroes took part in these activities.
The new winter season for USO-Camp shows performances include Chuck and Chuckles, Ralph Brown on the Red Circuit Unit 54; Cook and Brown in the White Circuit: Unit 73. - Source
