- A musical revue in two acts, 23 scenes. Sketches by George S. Kaufman and Howard Dietz. Lyrics by Howard Dietz. Staged by Hassard Short. Dances by Albertina Rasch. Opened 3 June 1931 at the New Amsterdam Theatre and closed 16 January 1932 after 260 performances.
Cast: Fred Astaire, Adele Astaire, 20 girls; 12 boys.
Fred and Adele introduce "Hoops" "Sweet Music" and "White Heat."
"Dancing in the Dark" (which Astaire would perform with Cyd Charisse in the 1953 film "Band Wagon") was done by Albertina Rasch's dancing girls. (Norton 1931.16) - Source
