- Broadway musical directed by Morris Green and Frank McCoy. Choreographers: Dave Gould, Tom Nip, Merriel Abbott, and Eugene Von Grona.
Eleanor Powell plays the role of Miss Hunter. This is the first Broadway show in which Powell received favorable notices as a tap dancer.
"Miss Eleanor Powell dances with athletic vivacity." (New York Times 24 September 1930.; Commonweal October 1930: "Eleanor Powell, who frequently 'stops the show',has certain qualities in addition to looks and sprightliness...."
Washington Post 19 October 1931: "Miss Powell with her broken rhythm tap dance and waltz ballet."
Powell performs "I'll Hit a New High" with the Tommy Atkins Sextet and the ensemble; "Jig Hop" with the ensemble; and "Waltz Ballet."
Opened 9 September 1930 Erlanger's Theatre and closed 2 May 1931 after 255 performances. - Source
