The Tap Concerto divided into four movements: Toccata, Pantomime, Minuet, and Rondo and is written for an orchestra of 45. Daniels said: "I did the concerto over an eleven year period and many times with Morton. It was always as if the orchestra was my personal pianist accompanist when he was conducting."
