- Seven dancers in a show billed as "Old-Time Hoofers": At the matinee: Cholly Atkins, Ernest Brown, Honi Coles, Cookie Cook, Chuck Green, and Pete Nugent, introduced by Marshall Stearns, with trumpeter Clark Terry, Gildo Mahones on bass and piano, Sam Woodyard on drums.
Leticia Jay pronounces this single performance as "The one event that revived tap dancing."
The evening performance was billed as Baby Laurence and Bunny Briggs , but Briggs, according to Leticia Jay's review, did not performed with the Duke Ellington Band in a show titled "Old Time Hoofers." - Source
