- Doris W. Jones, the doyenne of American dance and pioneer of black ballet, (The Capital Ballet, with the oldest predominantly black ballet company in the United States) experienced another triumph last week with the revival of the Capital Ballet Company under the direction of Billy Wilson.
On a program the revival of Miss Jones' tap dance classic, "Bach Vibrations" with its effervescent trio of veteran dancers, Robyn Nash, Treanna Alexander, and Rodney Green.
Doris Jones and Claire H. Haywood founded Jones-Haywood School of Ballet and Capital Ballet.
