- July 23-August 5, 2007. Rhythm World, Chicago Human Rhythm Project's 17th annual summer festival. Under the artistic direction of Derick Grant and Dianne "Lady Di" Walker. Classes for children, adults, and seniors, from beginner to professional. Taught by Dr. Jimmy Slyde, Harold Cromer, Jason Samuels Smith, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, Dianne Walker, Derick Grant, Sam Weber, Lane Alexander, Martin Tre Dumas, Jimmy Payne, Jr., John Kloss, Reggio McLaughlin, Arlene Kennedy, Julie Cartier, Cartier Williams, Josh Hilberman, Roxane Butterfly.
Hosts Sixth Annual Youth Tap Ensemble conference and the University Tap and Rhythm Ensemble Conference at Northwestern University.
Fifth annual tap slams, its version of "American Idol" July 31 and August 1. The week culminates with Chicago Human Rhythm Project's annual performance weekend, JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance, featuring the faculty along with Youth Tap Ensemble conference participants. - Source
