- Savion Glover directed and performed in this new production at New York's Beacon Theatre, one of his early forays to working with jazz musicians and singers; and introduced his new nine-member company of young dancers, TiDii; and created a new work dedicated to the New York City firemen who perished in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the world Trade Center.
Glover joined by his new nine-member company Ti Dii (Alexandria Bradley, Marshall Davis, Jr., Michelle Dorrance, Chantel Heath, Hannah Heller, Andrew Nemr, Maya Jenkins, Aaron Johnson and Cartier Williams) along with jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter, and jazz vocalist Abbey Lincoln.
The number dedicated to the Ground Zero rescue was set to Jill Scott's single, "He Loves Me."
