- Abstract
- Claudia La Rocco wrote: "Savion Glover has been saddled with the unfortunate "hip-hop" tap dancer label for years now, done in by his own success with Broadway's "Bring in Da Nose, Bring in Da Funk." After his wildly popular "Classic Savion" show at the Joyce Theatre winter of 2005, maybe "orchestral hoofer" will make it into the mix. but try calling him either to audiences at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, where Mr. Glover and his jazz quartet, the Otherz, have wowed sellout crowds with standards and improvisations, including "The Stars and Stripes forever (for Now)" his tribute to John Coltrane's "My Favorite things."
